Les bases juridiques de l’activité d’autopartage ont été fixées récemment. Pour s’inscrire dans un cadre d’intérêt général, elle doit faire l’objet d’un « label » défini par des textes légaux et réglementaires. Deux conséquences principales en résultent : le maire peut par arrêté, réserver des emplacements de stationnement aux véhicules qui bénéficient du label. Ce dernier ne peut être obtenu que si les véhicules partagés respectent un seuil d’émission d’oxyde de carbone fixé à 110 grammes par kilomètre et sont conformes à la dernière norme Euro en vigueur.
